20th June 2004 Windsurfing: Brogborough Wind Direction: sw, w , nw Wind Stength: 5 - 25 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: Arrived home from night out at 6am with 3 hours sleep headed to Brog Not a lot of wind forcast for today but friend was gonna give windsurfing a try today so went along for moral support. Rigged 7m as there wasn't enough wind and didn't fancy praticing tack gybe and sailing back winded with 8.5 I was getting a bit better at sailing back winded not luffing up wind now ..........can't get up wind now! Then the wind poped up from now where 20 mph + Had a good blast up and down while it lasted then it went as quick as it came Wind came back a little had a go with 7m but not enough so stole mates starboard carve and 8.5 for a few blasts probaly cos Im not used to it but didn't find it as nice as my techno. It was harder to unstick and keep it planning while getting in the straps A better day than expected just |
